Back to school means "back to being busy" for many of us. Parents, students, teachers and co-workers all know that when Fall comes in, our free time seems to fly out the window. When your beauty routine is running under a seriously crunched schedule, try this super easy and super quick everyday make-up routine to look great in 5 minutes or less!
- Start with a pigment matching tinted moisturizer. A moisturizer and translucent foundation all in one, tinted moisturizer covers imperfections without a need for concealer, and looks totally natural, giving your skin the perfect everyday glow. Apply like moisturizer- no applicators or sponges needed!
- Follow with a bronzing powder for just a little bit of natural color on your cheeks. Simply brush on your cheek bones for just a touch of color on your way out the door.
- Apply mascara. Don't skip the mascara! Any on the go lady will tell you that nothing makes a woman look more polished than wearing a little bit of eye makeup. Blinc's tube-style mascara applies easily- in one coat!- and won't smudge or budge all day long, but washes off easily at night or in the shower. It simply slides off your lashes- just like tubes! Apply more heavily at the base, and alleviate the need for an eyeliner. Quick as can be!
- Slap on some moisturizing lip balm. Especially for everyday sorts of things, the natural color of your lips is perfect. Enhancing it with a little moisture in the morning sets off the natural color of your lips flawlessly.

Stumped about which makeup colors will bring your eyes into sharp focus? Find out which shades work best with your eye color.

If you've been hassling with mascara to get the Twiggy look, you probably realized you aren't doing a very good job. Not even Maybelline Great Lash and a hydraulic curler will get you to the place you need to be to have glamorous, Marilyn Monroe bedroom eyes. False eyelashes are the way to go.
This type of lash comes in a long, narrow strip. You can pick them up at your local drugstore or favorite beauty haunt. Be forewarned however, these can look garish and harsh if applied incorrectly or if you choose a brand that is poorly manufactured. We have a great line of Ardell strip lashes that are just the ticket.
This type of lash comes in a package of individual lashes. Each cluster piece is individually applied. This takes a little more time and expertise, but the look is always 'au-natural'.
Decide what look you’re seeking. A strip of false eyelashes are excellent for going clubbing or for an evening of glitz. For a more subtle look apply a few lashes to the outside corners of your eyes. Can't decide which is right for you? False lashes are inexpensive enough to purchase a set for your every whim!
Choose a color that complements the occasion. For evening, stick to black, which adds drama without requiring mascara. You brighten them up with colored mascara in shades of blue of green. In the daytime, go dark brown or light brown for a natural look.
Check their length. Full lashes should follow the natural line of your own lashes. Many false lashes are too long so you might want to trim them a bit.
Begin with clean eyes, no makeup. Hold the lashes in your hand and apply a very thin line of glue or adhesive along the base; let it sit for 1 minute. Only use a minimal amount of glue, you can always add more if needed.
Apply the false lashes above your eyelashes, as close to your lash line as possible, following the natural curve. Adjust the lashes with a tweezers.
If you’re using individual lashes, place them at the outside corners of your upper lashes one or two should be sufficient. Adjust their position with tweezers.
Remember: practice makes perfect. Don`t panic if you can`t get them right first time. Pretty soon you`ll be able to apply them in your sleep!
Don't sleep in your false lashes. Remove them with eye make-up remover or a bit of petroleum jelly. Never pull the lashes from your lids, as you may pull your own lashes out or rip your skin. Ouch!

How do I make lip color really last?
Layering your color is the key to making it last, especially if you alternate a dry layer with a creamy one. So start by lining and filling in your lips completely with lip pencil, then apply a thick coat of lipstick, blot, and reapply another light coat of color.
To make a glossy formula stay on your lips, you need to give it a matte surface to which it can adhere. Start with either a coat of matte lipstick or a layer of lip pencil before applying your gloss.
Your lipstick color will last if you apply one coat, blot by pressing your lips together on a tissue and then apply another coat. This won't leave lips feeling dry the way powdering your lips between coats can.

Powder is a must in every makeup routine! Indispensable for setting foundation, giving your face a smooth finish and keeping shine under control, powder is definite must. Brush it over a clean, moisturized face for a fresh, no-makeup look. Makeup won't last the day without powder. When choosing a powder it is important to choose one that is closest to your skin-tone or translucent, which is completely sheer. In essence, powder = make-up power.
Loose powder can give you the finished, poreless look better than anything else. It provides more coverage than its pressed counterpart.
Always carry a pressed powder compact for touch-ups during the day. When on the go, no-spill pressed powder is the perfect pocketbook companion for a flawless finish.
Mineral Powders are Talc-Free, Fragrance-Free, Dye-Free and Non-Comedogenic and provide long lasting coverage with a light weight natural look and feel. They are made exclusively from micronized minerals. Mineral powders have natural healing qualities and an exceptional silky texture. Their exceptional adherence and crease resistance keeps makeup looking fresh all day.

How do I choose a good red lipstick that works with my complexion?
Whether it was faked on or baked on, your summer tan took work. Don't blow that glow - flaunt it with the right red. This season's new crop of reds are sheerer and more wearable than ever before. Here's a basic way to choose the right shade for you.
Reds really come in two tones, warm reds and cool reds. If you have medium skin choose warm orange-red lipsticks like crimson. They tend to warm up lighter skin. If you have olive or dark skin look for blue-red lipsticks. Those with a purple-pink or fuchsia effect. These shades are especially dramatic and will set off darker complexions beautifully. And remember - anyone can wear red, just give it a try!

I'm terrible at getting my liquid eyeliner to come out clean. Any tips for getting a good line?
You can draw a straight line with liquid eyeliner, by following these key tip: Prop the elbow of the hand you're drawing with on a table for extra stability. Gently stretching your skin with the other hand also keeps you on the straight and narrow.
Pretty simple? We hope this helps!

New York Fashion Week is coming to a close! Today’s the final day of fashion running the city, and designers put forth their visions for the spring of 2017. There were some trends, like intense nostalgia for the 70s and 80s, but today we’ll focus on the beauty looks we loved! Take a look at what we noted this season, so you can be on the beauty cutting edge.
Tom Ford's Autumn/Winter 2016, kind of a big deal since most collections at fashion week are for the spring season. Tom Ford, in a kinda game changing move, goes for the see now buy now model. Since the collection is for the colder months, it features some great geometric fur jackets, and almost metallic takes on warm colors you'd see from falling autumn leaves. Loose silhouettes paired with dynamic, long pencil skirts give the collection variety.

Dewy and minimal makeup. To get that look use either liquid foundation with a good highlighter or find yourself some tinted moisturizer. Works wonders! Also a good way to emulate Tom Ford's metallic clothing is with warm-toned metallic polishes.
Cushnie Et Ochs
The fashion duo Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs (making Cushnie Et Ochs, get it?) build their brand on clothes that are luxurious, yet understated and are crafted to celebrate the female body. Their Spring 2017 collection features color blocking in tans, black, and white, in a variety of jumpsuits and dresses. The usage of geometric cut-outs give their pieces unique silhouettes.

Cushnie Et Ochs self describe their beauty looks as inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface. Think pouty bold lips and a light smokey eye. To get the lip look, use a red lipstick on your top lip and a lighter shade on the bottom. The two-toned lip gives subtle dimension and drama.
Tom Ford isn't the only one with an Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. Tommy Hilfiger's showing was everything you'd expect from the brand (think nautical, punchy red/white/navy blue, comfy sweaters, over-sized sweatshirts) enlivened by the show's spectacular setting on a carnival pier. It was also a star-studded event, with Gigi Hadid as the flagship model, supported from the sidelines by Taylor Swift and here ever present squad.

Think California girl that makes it look like she doesn't try to hard, but there's definitely some effort made. Sun-kissed skin, slightly tinted glossy lips, and of course a good beachy wave.
Jeremy Scott's Spring/Summer 2017 collection was full of love for the eighties, with colors so bright you might need shades. Pop-culture influenced, the dresses, swim suits, shirts, and skirts featured punchy prints (I personally loved the toothpaste print because, why not) and text proclaiming "Hot Hot Hot" and "X Rated." The collection on the whole communicated a rambunctious night out, and who doesn't love that for fashion week?

We love Jeremy Scott's play with pop culture and iconography. This slime outfit with orange makeup screams Nickelodeon, which is pretty great. Emulate the look with pops of neon eye shadow that contrast you outfit.
Another fashion duo, John Targon and Scott Studenberg make up the New York based Baja East. Their Spring/Summer 2017 collection featured elements the brand in known for (animal and psychedelic prints) in the form of loose fitting lounge wear. The kind of sock/sandal pairing you'd expect an athlete to wear added a comfortable vibe to the collection, which ran the line of grunge meets athletic.

Hello Axel Rose. The Baja East styling really went for the grunge look with greased out eyes, wet slick hair, topped off with a variety of bandannas. We loved the matte black hombre nails this model's sporting, that add a great texture to her look.

Eyes are said to be the window to the soul, but more importantly, they are the first thing most people notice when the look at you. Make the most of your eyes with these helpful hints!
Begin by applying an eye base. This improves the adherence and appearance of eye makeup. It's key to maintain long-lasting shadow.
We Love: Duwop Day 2 Night Eyelid Primer Duo, $22
Know your products. Eye shadow comes in many formats: powder (pressed or loose), crayon, gloss or cream. The choice is up to you! Pressed shadows are a classic favorite.
We Love: Lola Cosmetics Eye Shadow Trio, $18
To obtain a more dramatic look place a dot of a darker shade in the middle of the eyelid and smooth out.
Highlight makeup by using a pastel color on the under-brow.
Lightly blend the colors with an applicator or fingertips. For ease of application, we suggest a crease brush or cream shadow brush with elongated bristles.
We Love: Antonym Cream Eye Shadow Brush, $13
Define the eye contour with a liner (either cake or pencil), by drawing a fine line close to the lashes to underline the eye. If you prefer, draw the fine line in the interior of the lids for a larger look, or draw a fine line on the upper eyelid. It's much easier to use a cake eyeliner. Just drag the brush across your lid and 'connect the dots'.
We Love: Blinc Eyeliner, $25
Brush lashes before applying mascara.
We Love: TIGI Brow and Lash Groomer, $14
Choose a shade of mascara to harmonize with your makeup. Apply two coats to thicken and lengthen lashes.
For a sophisticated touch, apply a more vivid color to the tips of the eyelashes. For example, coordinate Black with violet.
Choose a color that complements your eyes and enhances their color and form.
