 It's all about the irons. Unlike a crimping iron, which gives hair a V-shaped wave, a waving iron creates a softer S-shaped curl that is more reminiscent of the forties. Prior to blow drying, apply a texturizing styling product, then divide hair into two-inch sections. Starting at the nape of her neck, clamp the iron at the root, hold it for 3-5 seconds, then released it and moved down the hair shaft, continuing all around the head.
