Acid plays a key role in retaining moisture. Produced
in the human body to keep cells lubricated, Hyaluronic
Acid molecules have the ability to retain water up to
1000 times its weight. Topical Hyaluronic
Acid, when applied to the skin, binds to and expands
the moisture level, plumping the skin as it re-hydrates; and aids in
minimizing the appearance of fine lines.
Another goal of the
(h2t) dermAstage
line is to enhance the tone, texture and brightness of skin. Routine
exfoliation using AHA's (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) gives immediate and
startling results. AHA's dissolve the glue-like substance that holds
dead cells to the surface of the skin. Dead skin cells make the skin
look dull and lifeless and minimize the effectiveness of skin creams
as the dead, dry skin absorbs the nutrients in products before it
can absorb into the skin. Removing these dead skin cells achieves
two key objectives: 1) provides an even and thorough exfoliation
leaving new, healthy cells on the surface. Healthy skin cells create
brightness to the complexion, making skin look supple, toned and
youthful. 2) Removal of dead cells also triggers the body to
stimulate new cell development, aiding in increased collagen
