BODY COFFEE may not have been around in the 19th century, but at least it is now! In the 9th century, Kaldi, an Abyssinian Goat Herder, noticed that his flock cavorted with unusual vigor after nibbling on some berries. Suspicious of their power, the local holy man threw the berries into the fire, only to retrieve them when an irresistible aroma filled the air. The holy man then dropped the roasted berries into water and ordered the other monks to drink. Delightfully awakened, the monks christened the new drink "kavheh" or "stimulating" and the first cup of coffee burst upon the world.
